Travelers/Tourists & Residents Take Note: BANELCO, your friendly neighborhood power company is at it again - They've prepared a BLACKOUT for you & all Bantayan Island, tomorrow SATURDAY- the busiest day of the travel week.
Real Smart BANELCO; Thanks.

BANELCO says the Blackouts will last 12 hours (4am to 4pm)  but the opening Blackout last week was 16hrs. long until 8pm, so if you'd like to call BANELCO and ask them where they learned to count, or if you have a queston or comment, call them at: 032-460-9281 and Thank them for screwing up your Travels or your Weekend.

BANELCO has also decided to do more Blackouts after tomorrow; Sept. SUNDAYS 12, 19, 26 - until October 2, 2010....again, a brain dead call by a clueless vendor, so plan your trips accordingly.

Call them at: 032-460-9281 (from outside Philippines +63-32-460-9281) and express your concerns.

Right now in early September 2010, Beach Placid on Alice Beach has the nicest & cleanest White Beach in all of Santa Fe (in the current Low Season, Mother nature re-grooms all the Beaches; some Beaches adjacent to various Resorts can be overloaded with seaweed from time to time...but Beach Placid has a vigorus cleaning program in place - as illustrated by the photographs here)

See you at Beach Placid,

hi i would like to ask for the room rates in PHP for Paradise Beach and Virgin Island can't find it on the site.

TO Irvin and everyone else who's been asking: Just to clarify, there is no hotel/resort accommodation at either Paradise Beach or Virgin Island (and it says so on their web resource pages)  these places are for day trips only and not for any type of overnight stay, as they are both just very nice Beaches for Island Hopping trips, and nothing else.

outside Hotel le Carmen in Cebu City, Philippines: photo showing plants & scenic

Photo: Outside our hotel in Cebu City Philippines; a nice respite from the noise and traffic.

BANELCO UPDATE: As of 8:40am the power in Santa Fe on Bantayan Island is still ON - it was not turned off at 4am like we were told.

Stay tuned for more updates later - Hard Kock Kafe/Kiwi Kottages has a generator and we can get online from the Restaurant.

UPDATE: 3pm - the power's been on all day without issue, so we're thinking BANELCO has scrubbed their Blackout plans for today and I'm sure the Tourists thank them for not disrupting their vacation days here.

Enjoy your day,

PJAMES
